The research for Natural Gas and other Hydrocarbon Fuels began long before I started the series of electricity books.
We must go back to my years in college – both undergraduate and graduate. My primary degree was in Chemistry, yet I had other specializations. These included: Environmental Chemistry; Health and Industrial Hygiene; and Fire Safety.
Each of these subjects I studied on my own, reading in depth texts and journals. This reading was supplemented with specific courses. For example, one such course was taught by the Regional Director of the EPA.
Another course was regarding Hazardous Materials Response. Fellow classmates included firefighters and other emergency response personnel.
Therefore, much of the material in these books were understood long before the project began.
Additional research needed to be done for some of the practical details (such as in refining the fuel, and the pipeline structures). And of course I invested significant research into the details of Fracking, particularly in the chemicals used and the environmental hazards.
I think you will find that the information presented here is thorough, practical, and yet easy to read.
