Limited Government and Powers of the People
The purpose of the American Way series is to educate the public regarding each of the key elements which make our nation so prosperous and free.
The full book was originally published in 2003. Since that time I have received many positive reviews and personal praises. The original book has now been updated and revised. I have also divided the original book into separate e-books, each book for separate topics.
This book discusses the methods Americans can use to keep their governments as small as possible. In this book you will learn the following:
1. Importance of limited government
2. Roles and limitations of each branch of government
3. Powers of the people to enforce responsible government
4. The Second Amendment as it relates to limiting government
The first chapter discusses the importance of limited government. In these pages you will learn why the government must be limited. You will learn the general powers of the people (as individuals and as groups). You will also learn principles regarding the proper roles of government.
The next set of chapters discusses the three branches of government: legislative, executive, and judicial. You will be guided through a discussion of the roles, powers, and limitations of each branch of the government.
The next chapter discusses several ways in which the people can take an active role in self-government. You will learn how the people enforce the Constitution. We will also discuss methods for keeping the government limited, and for ensuring that government is responsive to the community.
The final chapter discusses the Second Amendment as it relates to limiting the powers of government. You will learn why the Second Amendment is vital for protecting our essential rights. You will read a detailed warning from the author’s personal experience of what may happen if the right to bear arms is diluted. We will also briefly discuss the issue of gun safety.
