Background Research for Wind Power Publications

You may not be aware of how much research goes into a book. Even for my simple, short book on wind power.

Before writing that book, I read thick engineering texts on wind power. I looked for the best equations (to get the most simple yet accurate). I read about blade design. I read studies on placement, wind density, temperature, storms.

I studied the examples of wind design and placement in Northern Europe, particularly Denmark. I studied Offshore turbines, especially in Northern England.

I also took a several day trip in an extensive wind farm, looking at all the various styles of wind turbines. I looked at each design, and I watched how well each worked.

Then I took the best of what I have learned, summarized it clearly, and put it into the short book.

50 pages. Very short. Yet a lot of research went into this book. Therefore, you are getting the very best of my studies on this topic.
